10x10 Philanthropy is a live crowdfunding NFP, whose mission is to create events delivering fundinG and catalysing awareness for grassroots NFP ORGANISATIONS as they tackle the worlds complex social problems.

We do this by hosting hosting live crowdfunded events, connecting audiences directly with non-profits, amplifying their message through social media and procuring new volunteers for to support their mission with the aim to engender a culture of giving and philanthropy in young millennials around the world.

As Head of the Los Angeles chapter, my role entails working as a strategic leader and brand ambassador by supporting new event committees to run events in accordance with 10x10’s model, activating the model in new cities and states and introducing the model to CSR for corporate organisations

With the onset of COVID-19, “LIVE” events were no longer permissible and 10x10 had to pivot to a digital model.

In July 2020 we held our first live digital event and chose to work with NAMI Westside LA, a non-profit organisation that provides in-person education, support, and advocacy to improve the lives of individuals living with mental health conditions and their families. 

NAMI reported a 65% jump in Help-Line calls and emails throughout COVID.

Throughout C19, their in-person support virtually came to a halt, and they too had to pivot to a digital platform. They have been providing FREE support programs and classes to individuals and their families, living with a mental health condition. To continue their work they desperately needed our support. A two-week period of rising awareness and a 3o-minute, live zoom call later, - complete with musicians, speakers and short films - we raised just over US$60,000.

Since launching in JUNE 2019, we have impacted 10 charities, raised over US$100k, procured volunteer roles for the non-profits and engaged over 350 new millennials in philanthropy.
